Regarding the waterproof design of floating balls and floats

Our float switches have undergone strict testing in accordance with GB/T 15479-1995, including (1) insulation resistance testing and (2) insulation strength testing, and have passed the tests.

(1) Insulation resistance test conditions: DC 500V (power supply 220VAC). Specific requirements are as follows:

a) Under general atmospheric conditions,

1. Normal state: The insulation resistance between NO and COM terminals should be ≥10MΩ

2. Triggered state: The insulation resistance between NC and COM terminals should be ≥10MΩ

3. Normal state: The insulation resistance between NO and the housing, COM and the housing should be ≥20MΩ

4. Triggered state: The insulation resistance between NC and the housing, COM and the housing should be ≥20MΩ

b) After damp heat test (cold and heat resistance test),

The insulation resistance tests mentioned in a) should be ≥5MΩ, 5MΩ, 7MΩ, 7MΩ respectively.

(Only a) is tested, and b) is measured immediately after the cold and heat resistance test)



(2) Insulation strength test conditions: Under the conditions of ambient temperature of 15℃~35℃ and relative humidity of 45%~75%:

① Normal state: NO and COM+NC (clamped together), apply AC 1500V (power supply 220VAC) voltage for 1 minute, and there should be no breakdown or arc flash of the product.

② Triggered state: NC and COM+NO (clamped together), apply AC 1500V (power supply 220VAC) voltage for 1 minute, and there should be no breakdown or arc flash of the product.

③ Normal State**: With three terminals clamped together and in contact with the shell, an AC 3000V (power source 220VAC) voltage is applied for 1 minute, and the product shows no breakdown or flashover phenomenon.

④ Trigger State**: With three terminals clamped together and in contact with the shell, an AC 3000V (power source 220VAC) voltage is applied for 1 minute, and the product shows no breakdown or flashover phenomenon.

(3) Current and Voltage Test**: A rigorous current and voltage test was conducted according to customer requirements, and the test was qualified. Specifically, under 5A 250V AC current and voltage, the motor pump operated at full load for 1 hour, and the float switch (COM/NO/NC) functioned normally, passing the test.

(4) Heat and Cold Resistance Test**: Based on electronic component standards, the heat and cold resistance performance was tested, and the test was qualified.

(4) Working Pressure Client-side Test:

Test conditions: According to a water depth of 20 meters, the corresponding pressure is 2bar multiplied by a coefficient of 1.5, which equals 3bar. The ball is placed in a sealed transparent container and inflated to 3bar for 3 minutes. The product passed the test.
